Seacoast New Hampshire Festivals 2026: Hampton Beach, Portsmouth and Inland

Seacoast New Hampshire Festivals 2026: Hampton Beach, Portsmouth and Inland

July 29, 2026 · 4 min read

The Seacoast carries 32 listings in this directory, more than any of New Hampshire's other six regions, and they are not evenly spread. Nine sit in Portsmouth. Six sit in Hampton. Three sit in Deerfield.

That concentration is the planning advantage. On the Seacoast you can build a full day around one town instead of driving between counties, which is not true of the Great North Woods or Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee.

Hampton Beach runs six events between June and September

The Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Classic opens the town's run June 18 to 20, free, and it is a competition rather than a market.

The Hampton Beach Children's Festival runs five days, August 17 to 21, free, with kids' activities and a parade. The Hampton Beach Talent Competition picks up on its closing day and carries through, August 21 to 23, free, with competitions and live music.

September keeps going. Cirque du Hampton Beach takes September 5, free. The Hampton Beach Seafood Festival takes September 11 to 13 with competitions, crafts, fireworks, food and live music, and it is one of only three listings in this directory with a sourced founding year, 1988. The Hampton Beach Annual Fire Show closes the town's year on September 19, free.

Five of the six carry free admission. The Seafood Festival is the one that does not.

Portsmouth: nine dates, April to December

Portsmouth is the busiest single town in this directory with nine listings, and they cover nine months.

Restaurant Week Portsmouth & The Seacoast opens the year, April 9 to 18. The 97.5 WOKQ Chowder Festival takes June 6. Portsmouth Pride takes June 20, free.

Prescott Park Arts Festival is a season rather than a date. Our record carries no confirmed start and an end of August 31, so treat it as a summer-long program and get the schedule from the organizer instead of from this page.

Sail Portsmouth Maritime Festival runs July 23 to 26. The New England Hot Sauce Festival takes August 1. The New Hampshire Film Festival runs October 15 to 18. The Portsmouth Halloween Parade takes October 31, a Saturday in 2026, free. Then Vintage Christmas in Portsmouth holds the whole of December.

Deerfield is three fairs in one town

The New Hampshire Farm, Forest & Garden Expo runs April 30 to May 1. The New Hampshire Sheep & Wool Festival runs May 9 and 10. The Deerfield Fair runs October 1 to 4 with animals, competitions, food, live music and rides.

All three carry animals and competitions. Only the October fair carries rides, so the two spring dates are the quieter, more agricultural end of that fairground's year.

Rochester's eleven days, and the rest of the inland Seacoast

The Granite State Fair in Rochester runs September 17 to 27, eleven days, the longest agricultural run in this dataset. Rochester also carries Rochester Pride on August 1, free.

Dover takes two: the Neuroqueer Disability Pride event on July 26, free, and Apple Harvest Day on October 3, free, with competitions, crafts, food, kids' activities and live music.

Exeter takes two: the American Independence Festival on July 11, free, with crafts, kids' activities and live music, and the Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival on October 3.

Londonderry takes two: Old Home Day, August 12 to 15, free, with fireworks, food, kids' activities, live music and a parade, and Londonderry Pride on September 12. Stratham has 4-H Summerfest, July 17 to 19, free. Windham has Windham Pride on June 6, free. Milton has the Woods, Water, and Wildlife Festival on August 8.

Three dates where the Seacoast makes you choose

October 3 is the hardest. Apple Harvest Day in Dover and the Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival in Exeter both run that Saturday, and both are one-day events with no second chance.

June 6 pairs the WOKQ Chowder Festival in Portsmouth with Windham Pride.

September 19 stacks three: the Hampton Beach Fire Show, the opening day of the Hampton Falls Craft Festival, and day three of the Granite State Fair in Rochester. That Saturday is the single densest date in the region.

December on the Seacoast is one long listing

Vintage Christmas in Portsmouth carries December 1 to 31, and it is the only listing in this directory whose confirmed dates cover a full calendar month. It is tagged seasonal, cultural and family, with no feature flags on the record, so read it as a program of events rather than one gate you walk through.

Inland, Nashua's Holly Jolly Craft Fair takes a single day, December 19, and the Gift of Lights in Loudon carries an end date of January 1, 2027 with no confirmed start in our record. If you want a December plan on the coast, Portsmouth is the whole answer.
