premium book

A fair's official catalog of competition classes, entry rules, deadlines and prize money.

The premium book lists every class you can enter, the entry fee, the deadline, the rules a judge will apply, and the premium, meaning the cash award paid to placing entries. Deadlines usually fall weeks before the gates open, and late entries are commonly refused. If you intend to exhibit rather than attend, the premium book is the authoritative document, not a listing site.

Also known as: exhibitor book, fair book.
