exhibition hall

The indoor building where judged non-livestock entries are displayed with their ribbons.

An exhibition hall holds the entries that are not animals: vegetables, canned goods, baked items, flowers, quilts, photography and youth projects, each shown with the judge's ribbon or card. It is usually the quietest part of a fair and the fastest way to understand what that fair values. Hall entries are made in advance under the fair's own entry rules, not on the day.

Also known as: exhibit hall, the hall.
